FAQs

Common questions

What changed in the 6th Edition?
The 10-chapter structure stays, but objective elements were reduced to 639, grouped as Core, Commitment, Achievement and Excellence. There is more focus on patient-reported experience and clinical audit.
We are Entry Level certified. Do we have to move up?
Hospitals above 300 beds can no longer renew Entry Level after 1 October 2026 and need Full Accreditation. Others should check their eligibility; we can review your situation.
Why does it take up to 18 months?
Assessors check that systems actually run, not just that documents exist. You need months of indicator data, audit results and training records.
What happens after accreditation?
NABH runs surveillance and renewal assessments during the cycle. Our Annual Support Retainer keeps you ready for them.
